CHICAGO — Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents of a recent rash of robberies.

In the incidents, the offender robs the victim by approaching them from behind and putting a handgun into the victim’s back, according to a community alert.

One victim was robbed about 8:40 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of South Claremont Avenue, police said.

Another was robbed about 6:45 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of West 65th Street, police said.
