CHICAGO — A man sexually assaulted a 16-year-old boy while threatening him with a gun in Humboldt Park last week, police said.

The teen was approached by a man riding a bicycle near the 3800 block of West Grand Avenue on Jan. 7, police said.

After talking with the boy, the man said he had a gun and told the victim to go inside a nearby abandoned garage, cops said.

The victim complied, and the offender placed an object against his head and forced the teen into a sexual act, police said. The man then allowed the boy to leave, cops added.

Authorities have issued a community alert about the suspected attacker.

He is described as 20 to 21 years old, 6-foot-1 and about 150 pounds, police said. He has dark hair and was last seeing wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, police said.

Anyone with information about the alleged attack is asked to call police at 312-744-8263.
