5 Injured in West Side Crash

CHICAGO — Five people were hurt after a five-car crash in Austin Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of  Washington Boulevard and  Cicero Avenue about 1:30 p.m., police said.

Five people were taken to local hospitals, with at least four in serious-to-critical condition, a spokesman with the Chicago Fire Department said. Two were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, two to Stroger Hospital and another to Loretto Hospital, according to the fire department.

Further information on the crash and the victims was not immediately available.
