CHICAGO — Two men tried to drag a girl into their SUV in Belmont Cragin Friday morning, police said.

Just before 8 a.m., the 14-year-old girl was walking north on North Laramie Avenue near West Oakdale Avenue when a newer, green SUV pulled up beside her, according to a community alert.

A man riding in the front of the car started talking to the girl while a man riding in the back told her to get in the car, police said.

When the girl kept walking, the man got out, grabbed her and attempted to drag her into the SUV, officials said.

The girl got away and ran to safety and the offenders sped away down an alley, police said.

The car is described as a possible Chevrolet Blazer with dents on the passenger-side front, according to the alert.

The first male offender is described as Hispanic and about 5-foot-seven-inches with a chunky build and close-cropped black hair. He was wearing black sweat pants, a grey hooded sweathshit with writing on the front and a picture of a building on the back, according to the alert.

Another offender was described as a Hispanic male with dark brown hair down to below his ears, a thin black mustache, an earring in his left ear and a piercing in his left eye brow. He was wearing a black sweater, according to the alert.

The third offender was a Hispanic male with short black hair wearing a black hoodie, police said.
