CALUMET HEIGHTS — Months after Rashad Pratt's mysterious murder, friends, relatives and allies continued to look for answers.

Pratt, 28, was shot several times near his home on the 9000 block of South Ridgeland Avenue on August 26, according to police. The father of a 6-year-old girl was found in his SUV at the corner of 91st Street and South End Avenue in Calumet Heights.

Despite a grassroots awareness campaign through various media outlets, including a Facebook page with 700 members called "Justice for Rashad Pratt," the case remains unsolved.

"[Pratt] left behind a grieving wife, daughter, parents, siblings, extended relatives and supportive friends," reads a message on the Facebook page labeled "from the family."

"He was a victim of Chicago's gun violence and will never ever be forgotten ... We ask that if anyone has any information regarding his death to please contact us, as we are all searching for answers to this senseless tragedy."
