Man Killed in Southwest Side Fire

CHICAGO — A man has died in a fire in Ashburn, fire official said.

The man, in his mid-40s, was found during a search of the one-story, single-family home on the 8500 block of South Knox Avenue, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 5:22 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters were on the scene within three minutes, and had the blaze under control with in 20 minutes, fire officials said.
