Police Warn Lincoln Park, Near North Side Residents of Home Burglaries

CHICAGO — An increase in home burglaries has led police to issue a community alert for Lincoln Park and the Near North Side.

Four black males wearing hooded black coats were captured on video breaking into homes and stealing property, according to the alert.

A residence was burglarized between 7 and 9 p.m. Dec. 4. in the 800 block of West Belden Avenue. A residence in the 400 block of West Belden Avenue was burglarized between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. Dec. 5, officials said.

At 12:16 a.m. Friday, the offenders burglarized a residence in the 1800 block of North Dayton Street. Between 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday, a residence in the 2300 block of North Orchard Street was burglarized, police said.

Police advise residents to keep the perimeter of their property well-lit and doors and windows locked. Anyone with information should call 312-747-8382.
