CHICAGO — Several armed robberies in two South Side and one West Side neighborhood led police to issue four alerts Tuesday.

Chicago Lawn residents were robbed at knifepoint three times in December. The incidents occurred in the 4200 block of West 51st Street, the 5000 block of South Keeler Avenue and the 4900 block of South Kedvale Avenue, police said.

Masked men carrying handguns also robbed businesses in Chicago Lawn in the 2800 block and 2900 block of West 59th Street, police said.

Another alert warned of an increase in robberies along the lakefront path in Kenwood during the month of November. Victims were approached by males announcing a robbery in the 4300 block of South Lake Shore Drive.

Police also issued an alert for those living on the Near West Side. Victims were robbed at knifepoint in incidents in the 1200 block of South Blue Island Avenue and the 2100 block of West Harrison Street in December.
