CHICAGO — A man was struck and killed early Saturday morning in an apparent hit-and-run in Little Village, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified him as David Perez, 18, of the 2700 block of South Komensky Avenue.

The man was hit by a car at 3:44 a.m. on the 3000 block of South Pulaski Road, according to Chicago Police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak. Kubiak said the victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver fled the scene, Kubiak said.
