CHICAGO—Crain's Chicago Business released their list of this year's 40 entrepreneurs under age 40 in the city, acknowledging notable locals behind the city's top restaurants, tech startups and more.

The youngest on the list are Shradha Agarwal, co-founder of ContextMedia and the startup-funding giant Jumpstart Capital, and Anton German, founder of BayRu LLC, an e-commerce company Crain's called "the eBay-cum-Amazon.com of Russia." Both are 27.

Outside the business world are Hubbard Street Dance Chicago choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, 32, and former Threadless techie Harper Reed, 34, now the Chief Technology Officer at Obama for America.

River North restaurateurs Matt Matros, 33, founder and CEO of the fast-casual health food chain Protein Bar, and David Flom, 39, the chef-turned-businessman behind Chicago Cut Steakhouse at 300 N. LaSalle St., both earned a nod from the magazine.

So did Belly Inc. founder Logan LaHive, 30, whose neighborhood retail loyalty cards are accepted at shops across the city, especially in Lakeview and Lincoln Park.

Running the city is no small feat, so Crain's included two agency heads on the "Top 40" list as well: Public Health Commissioner Dr. Bechara Choucair, 39, and Comptroller Amer Ahmad, 38.
