HUMBOLDT PARK — A 16-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot three times in Humbolt Park Wednesday, officials said.

The boy was struck in hip, knee and stomach just before 4 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Wabansia Avenue, police said.

He was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Neighbor Joseph Cole, 25, a stay-at-home dad, said he ran out of his condo building after hearing four "pops" outside.

He saw the shooting victim lying on the ground, with a young woman holding his hand.

Cole said he had looked out his window after the shots were fired to see two young men running into an alley and driving off in a silver Nissan.
