Man Dies One Day After Being Shot in the Head

CHICAGO — A West Humboldt Park man died Sunday after being shot in the head the day before.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the man as Billie R. Daniels of the 4200 block of West Division Street.

Daniels, 25, was shot in the head in the 5500 block of South Emerald Avenue in Englewood about 6:50 p.m. Saturday, police said.

No other information about the shooting was available early Monday, police said.

Daniels was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition Saturday.

He was pronounced dead there about 8 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.

No suspects are in custody, police said.
