CHICAGO — Illinois residents hoping for a ticket to President Barack Obama's election night bash will have to work before they join the party, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.

Obama's campaign will use admission to the event as an "organizing tool," meaning residents must complete two "get-out-the vote” volunteer shifts in Wisconsin, a battleground state, according to the Sun-Times.

Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis after volunteers complete the two-to-three hour canvassing shifts as part of the “Illinois Victory Volunteers,” the Sun Times reported. The canvassing will take place Nov. 3, 4 and 5.
