HUMBOLDT PARK — An SUV driver was slapped with a citation early Friday after slamming into a vehicle stopped at a red light, sending it into a Little Caesars Pizza, police said.

Louis Griggs, 22, was cited for driving too fast during the 2:30 a.m. crash in the 3300 block of West North Avenue, police said.

His westbound SUV slammed into a Toyota Corolla going the same direction that was stopped at a red light, according to police.

The impact caused the Corolla to spin out of control and careen into the north wall of the pizza joint at 3337-B West North Ave., police said.

The Corolla's driver was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was treated and released, cops said.

The store was closed and there were no reported injuries inside the eatery. The front of the store was boarded up Friday morning.
