Mayor Rahm Emanuel greeted former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in Chicago Thursday, citing their extended friendship from Emanuel's days in the Clinton administration.
“I welcome my friend Tony Blair back to Chicago,” Emanuel said. “Over the years we have formed a strong relationship and he is a great ambassador for the United Kingdom, creating opportunity and development on both sides of the Atlantic.”
Blair, who has pursued financial interests since leaving office in 2007, was in town for a Zurich Advisory meeting on risk management and other insurance issues.
