CHICAGO — A drive-by shooting in the Humboldt Park neighborhood left one man injured early Thursday, police said.
Cops said the 26-year-old victim was walking in the 800 block of Fairfield Avenue just after midnight when he was approached by a dark SUV carrying two men.The pair began asking the victim about his gang affiliation.
"The victim ignored those offenders, turned around and walked away. Next thing you know, he hears shots and he was struck," said police News Affairs spokesman Officer Robert Perez.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
No arrests have been made.
