MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a suspect in the early-morning stabbing death of a man outside a Chelsea celebrity hotspot.

Manuel Pinero, 41, is suspected of fatally stabbing 23-year-old Christopher Adames outside the Juliet Supperclub on West 21st Street shortly after 5 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 26, the NYPD said.

Pinero is described as standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 260 pounds, police added. He is known to drive a black 2010 Audi SUV with the New York license plate number ETU5963.

The incident occurred outside the popular nightspot, located between 11th and 12th avenues, just hours after NBA star LeBron James and other celebs had been partying inside.

Sources said Adames walked out of the club and was speaking with two women when a man came up behind him, stabbed him four times, and ran off.

Adames had been living in Washington Heights with his girlfriend, and has a 5-year-old daughter, according to his sister.

A makeshift memorial was set up outside his family's apartment in Morningside Heights Monday, with religious candles and handwritten notes saying, "RIP my brother."

A publicist for Juliet said that there was no evidence that the fight began inside the club, and suggested that it may have begun further west, near the West Side Highway.

Anyone with information in regard to the homicide is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or texting tips to 274637(CRIMES), then enter TIP577.
