Washington Heights — Watch where you're stepping in Washington Heights.
The neighborhood is the worst in Manhattan for dog poop strewn pavements and parks, according to Sanitation Department figures published by the New York Post.
Riverside Drive, Amsterdam Avenue and 179th and 160th Streets were the dirtiest, sccording to data on pooper-scooper violations.
"The city just stinks," Megan Winner, 30, told the Post as she walked through Washington Heights.
"I can't enjoy my walk. It's full of landmines of dog (dirt)."
Neighborhood resident Rob Thomas told the newspaper, "It's bad. I have to clean my shoes really regularly to scrape the poop off."
Dog walkers told the paper they had less bins to place the poop than in other city neighborhoods.
The figures showed there were 52 violations in Manhattan last year.
To be counted, pooper-scooper scofflaws must be caught in the act by Sanitation enforcement agents.
