MANHATTAN — After causing controversy at both the Mets’ and Yankees’ home ballparks, Lady Gaga is set to drop in on the home of the Knicks Tuesday. But this time, the Manhattan pop star’s antics are exactly what the audience is paying for.

Lady Gaga is playing three shows at Madison Square Garden this week, as part of the second leg of her worldwide Monster Ball tour. The Manhattan native will perform Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights in support of her second studio album, “The Fame Monster.”

The performances afford Lady Gaga an opportunity for some positive interaction with New Yorkers after a month’s worth of negative headlines had the megastar in the Big Apple’s doghouse.

First, Gaga flipped Mets fans the bird at CitiField and, after being moved to Jerry Seinfeld's luxury suite without the funnyman's approval, Seinfeld called the pop star a "jerk." Then, after the Yankees dropped a home game to the Mets, Gaga reportedly drunkenly crashed the Bronx Bombers' clubhouse.

No word yet on whether Lady Gaga will repay Seinfeld with a complimentary box at MSG this week.
