Lowery Plaza debuted Friday under the 40th Street Station, with tables, chairs and planters.
The area under the 46th St. station is now Bliss Plaza, a sitting area with tables, chairs and planters.
The Sunnyside Shines BID will maintain the plazas, to be located under the 40th and 46th St. stations.
The proposed 2-acre plaza will have retail and event space, developer Brookfield Properties said.
A plaza at 303 E. 83rd St., supposed to be open to the public, has been locked for more than a year.
