The 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A, C, E, F, G, J, M, N, Q, R and S lines will be affected this weekend.

The broken rail was found Tuesday along the F line during a routine inspection north of 36th Street.

The delivery was made in December and included the rail involved with last week's derailment. 

The F had more than 300 delay alerts in 2013, more than any other line, a transit advocacy group said.

Four injured people were taken to hospitals while local service was restored for evening rush, MTA said.

Upgrades and maintenance is scheduled across 15 subway lines late Friday until early Monday.

The A, C and F trains will be shut down between Manhattan and Brooklyn in the future, the MTA said.

Work will affect the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, A, E, F, G, J, M, Q and two shuttle lines, the MTA said.

The 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, A, C, D, E, F, G, J, N, Q, R, 42nd St. Shuttle and Rockaway Shuttle will be impacted.

Nearly half of all subway lines were dirtier in 2013 than they were in 2011, according to the survey.
