The DOT presented details of its bike share program to Queens Community Board 1 Tuesday night.
Of the 53 proposed sites, 22 bike-share stations would require the loss of public or commercial parking.
DOT officials are starting to accept community input on where to put the city's new bike share stations, with more than 8,000 suggestions online so far.
