A piano, a human skull, a horse trailer.

These and other odd objects found in the Bronx River will be the subject of original poems and stories by three writers at this month's "Underwater New York" event.

Allison Amend, Rich Villar and Carolyn Ferrell will read their work at the Bronx Art Space as part of a series about the borough's waterways.

The series, held at 305 E. 140th St., is free and open to the public.
