A collection of photos by young, Brooklyn-based photographer Ryan James MacFarland aims to capture the complexities of nature in single moments. The photos show wind blowing across the surface of a lake, a tide coming in and the appearance of the moon before nightfall. The gallery, located at 196 Bowery, is open Wednesday through Sunday, 12 noon to 7 p.m. and by appointment.
