The African Day Parade and Festival kicks off at noon on Sunday, September 23 on Lenox Avenue starting at West 135th Street.

More than 60,000 spectators are expected to attend the parade to watch more than 50 marching groups. The festivities will culminate with a festival at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Marcus Garvey Park, located at 122nd Street and Mt. Morris Park West. The theme for this year's parade and festival is “First Class World Tour to African Heritage.”
