New York City Poetry Festival on Governors Island

The Second Annual New York City Poetry Festival brings two days of arts programming to Colonel's Row on Governors Island, including readings, an arts-and-crafts village and a children's festival. Poets who are scheduled to attend include Mark Strand, Patricia Smith, Thomas Sayers Ellis, Amber Tamblyn, Valzhyna Mort, Cornelius Eady, Jennifer Michael Hecht, Joanna Furhman, Jennifer L. Knox, CAConrad, Dorothea Lasky and Timothy Donnelly. Advance tickets cost $5 for both days, while day-of tickets are $5 apiece.
