This month-long film series at the Museum of the Moving Image examines the work of L.A. Rebellion, a group of African and African American filmmakers which started in the late 1960s. While students at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, these generations of filmmakers produced a body of work that came to define new "Black Cinema."

The museum will screen a series of the films through Feb. 24. For a complete schedule, visit www.movingimage.us
