Target First Saturdays' monthly soiree at the Brooklyn Museum continues with a blast from the past this July.
July's art party promises a jam-packed evening of 80s entertainment, including a Keith Haring-inspired sidewalk chalk mural, a New Wave dance party and select screenings of Jim Hubbard's documentary about early AIDS activism, "United in Anger: A History of ACT UP."
Target First Saturdays are a free monthly event at the Brooklyn Museum, located at 200 Eastern Parkway, between Washington and Underhill Avenues. Tickets are required for some projects and lectures, and can be obtained at the museum's Visitor Center. Galleries are open and free to the public from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
