Critic Suzanne Stephens, deputy editor of Architectural Record, will lead a discussion about contemporary developments in the production, design, and function of ceramics and tiles. Panelists will include architect Daniel Libeskind; Ingeborg Rocker, Harvard Graduate School of Design Associate Professor of Architecture; and Matthew Karlin, president of Nemo Tile Company.

This talk is presented in conjunction with Museum of the City of New York exhibition "Palaces for the People: Guastavino and the Art of Structural Tile."

Tickets are free for museum members and cost $10 for the general public, students and seniors.

"Innovators: The Uses of Tiles Today" is scheduled to take place at the American Institute of Architects-New York Chapter at 536 LaGuardia Place between West 3rd and Bleecker.
