The History of Chocolate at the NY Historical Society

This family-friendly event will feature explorations of what chocolate was like in colonial days. American Heritage Chocolate educators will showcase historical techniques for making chocolate, including grinding cocoa beans, and then adding spices like red pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. There will also be hot chocolate to taste and some to take home.

Free with New-York Historical Society admission: adults, $15; seniors, educators, active military, $12; students, $10; kids 5 to 13, $10; kids 4 and under, free.
