The Edward Perez Trio at Terraza 7

Latin jazz bassist and composer Edward Perez performs with at Terraza 7 on Jan. 23.

Perez played on five albums in the course of two years while living in Lima, where learned to perform traditional Afro-Latin music. One of those albums, Peru Blue by Pamela, was nominated for a Latin grammy.

The bassist will be joined by Benito Gonzalez on piano, as well as a drummer.

Show starts at 9:30 p.m., 40-19 Gleane St. in Elmhurst. Admission is free, but there is a $5 cover charge for upstairs mezzanine seating.
