The New York Botanical Garden hosts a cooking class for families at the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden. Ethnobotanist Leda Meredith will lead the group with recipes for Watermelon Gazpacho and Chilled Cucumber Soup.

Participants will be taught how to grow and harvest their own fresh produce and will enjoy samples of each recipe.

In addition to the regular garden entrance fee, the Cooking Class costs $67 for members and $75 for non-members (includes a $20 materials fee).

The event will take place on Thursday, June 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rain date is July 12th.
