'Canstruction' at the World Financial Center

"Canstruction" brings towering sculptures made entirely of cans to the World Financial Center Winter Garden in this popular annual event. Teams compete to build creative structures out of the non-perishable foods, which are all donated to the hungry. The event usually takes place before Thanksgiving, but because of Hurricane Sandy, it was postponed this year. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, from Feb. 1 to Feb. 11.
