Eight stylized Christmas trees and rooms will bring classic children's stories to life at the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum in Pelham Bay Park from November 30 until early 2013.

Different artists decorated each tree and the room it occupies to tell such stories as Paddington Bear and the Christmas Surprise, Babar and Father Christmas and the Grinch.

The November 30 kick-off event includes a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a book signing and demo by paper artist Pamela Dalton, an award-winning children’s book illustrator. Call 718-885-1461 for details and to RSVP for the luncheon.

The museum is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. and costs $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students and is free for children under six.
