La Cumbiamba NY will be performing Cumbia music from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia.
Moneco will be representing Peruvian-style Cumbia music, or “Chicha.”
Radio Jarocho, playing the sounds of Veracruz, Mexico, play Afro-Caribbean and Andalucian music. Taking the namesake of Veracruz's son jarocho music, New York-based Radio Jarocho's inspiration comes from that region.
The event is at Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd. in Flushing, Jan. 26, 6 p.m. There is a $20 cover, $15 for Flushing Town Hall members and students with I.D.
