Quantcast

Social Media Reporter

DNAinfo New York is looking for a social media reporter to be part of a team that's creating a new initiative here called "This is New York."

The qualified candidate should be well versed in all social media platforms as well as in spotting interesting stories and trends BEFORE they appear on Reddit.

But you must have solid reporting chops, too, so send us your best clips. This is not a sales/marketing gig: it's for someone who can use humor and context to make a story better.

We are looking for a writer with a distinct voice whose copy is sharp, lively and Strunk & White approved.

You would be working in one of the fastest, most hard-charging, story-breaking, award-winning newsrooms in New York.

The successful applicant would need to answer the following questions:

What kind of story would you pitch as a follow-up to this exclusive?

Do you have excellent multimedia skills? Can you make a mayoral press conference interesting using gifs?

So, if you think you have what it takes to join DNAinfo — relentless work ethic, shrewd news judgement and positive energy — send your resume and relevant clips to editorialjobs@dnainfo.com.

DNAinfo is New York's leading neighborhood news source. We deliver up-to-the-minute reports on entertainment, education, politics, crime, and dining across all five boroughs. Our award-winning journalists find the stories — big or small — that matter most to New Yorkers.
