GREENWICH VILLAGE — A Los Angeles rapper was slashed twice across the face inside a Bleecker Street nightclub, law-enforcement sources said.
EverybodyKnowsLo, real name Lowell Grissom, 31, was coming down the stairs at The Anthony at 183 Bleecker St., near MacDougal Street, when an attacker punched him and slashed him in the face Tuesday about 1 a.m., police sources said.
The attacker did not say anything before the slashing, and police do not believe Grissom knew the man who cut him, sources said.
Grissom went to Beth Israel Hospital on his own and received about 50 stitches for the wounds, sources said.
He was not performing at The Anthony that night.
The club could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday morning.
