By Rebecca Fishbein | August 23, 2017 10:12am

DOWNTOWN — A drunk tourist from Los Angeles passed out on the sidewalk after leaving a West Village bar — leading a thief to snatch his bag with nearly $20,000 in valuables that included cash, a Rolex watch, a Tiffany ring and other pricey jewelry, police said.

The 26-year-old tourist had been at The Monster with a friend and was walking back to his hotel on Aug. 15 about 5 a.m. when the pair stopped and the victim passed out, police said.

That's when the unidentified thief came up and grabbed his Goyard messenger bag worth $1,200, police said.

The victim's friend tried to chase after the suspect, but couldn't catch him, police said.

The thief made off with $19,760 in loot from the bag, including two iPhones, a gold Rolex, a $300 Tiffany ring, a pair of $650 sunglasses, $200 in cash, and $16,100 in jewelry and other belongings, police said.

Neither the victim nor his friend knew where they were during the robbery, but said it was south of Houston Street, police said.

There had been no arrests as of Tuesday, police said.

Other recent incidents in the 1st Precinct, according  to police, include:

"I'm about to get you," the suspect said as he followed the victim, pulled a small blade and cut the left side of his face and left wrist, police said. The victim told officers she was in a dispute with her 30-year-old ex in an area behind Stuyvesant High School at 345 Chambers St. when he robbed her. There were no arrests as of Tuesday, police said. It wasn't immediately clear if the robbery was tied to the high school, and the Department of Education referred questions to the NYPD.
