CHELSEA — From cassoulet to cold cuts.

The space formerly occupied by beloved French restaurant La Lunchonette on 10th Avenue will reopen as a deli selling organic groceries more than a year and a half later.

The restaurant at 130 10th Ave., at the corner of West 18th Street, closed at the end of 2015 after serving up beef bourguignon and other French staples for nearly three decades.

In two weeks, a deli called “Chelsea Square Market” will open in its place, owner Hassan Salah told DNAinfo New York.

Salah owns a string of delis throughout the city and New Jersey, including Strawberry Deli and High End Deli — both of which are on 14th Street near Ninth Avenue — as well as Westfield Market Place in Hell’s Kitchen, he said.

The new deli will feature a juice bar and a sandwich and panini counter while offering a range of organic groceries, fruits and vegetables, and Colombian coffee, he said.

Customers will be able to order groceries and other items on Seamless, he noted, adding that he felt the market would fill a void in a neighborhood with few options for buying groceries.

“We need to give the neighborhood something… [so] you don’t have to go all the way to the supermarkets — it’s too far away,” Salah said. “We’ll have everything.”
