THE BRONX— The search is on for a man who hit a grocery store employee in the back of the head with a credit card reader in Longwood, according to police.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video entering the A&O grocery store at 922 Southern Blvd., near Barretto Street, at around 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, before getting into an argument with a store employee, attacking him and removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, said NYPD officials.

He was seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and was described as 20 to 25 years old, standing 5-foot-6 and weighing approximately 170 pounds.

The unidentified 29-year old victim was treated at Lincoln Hospital for minor injuries.
