Man Struck by Train at 57th Street Friday, Officials Say

MIDTOWN — A man was seriously injured after being struck by a train at the 57th Street station at 6th Avenue Friday afternoon, officials said. 

The man was hit by the train at about 5 p.m. and there were disruptions on the F line following the incident, according to the FDNY and MTA. 

The man was taken to New York Cornell Hospital with serious injuries. 

F trains were skipping the station in both directions following the incident.
