Quick-Fingered Thief Snatches $687 From Williamsburg Grocery Shopper: NYPD

WILLIAMSBURG — A slick-fingered thief pinched a wallet from a grocery shopper's purse, making off with $687 in cash and credit cards, police said.

The man, last seen wearing a tan jacket with the letter "R" on the front, was captured by security cameras inside Green Corner Fish & Farmers Market at 801 Flushing Ave. at 11 a.m. on Monday, police said. 

A manager at Green Corner couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

Police are now looking for hints about the man's identity.
