MANHATTAN — A transgender woman who died Thursday, a week after she was found lying unconscious on a Chelsea street, was killed by someone beating her on the head, the Medical Examiner said Monday.

Brenda Bostick, 59, died of a blunt impact head injury to her head May 4 at 4:10 p.m., officials said.

Bostick's beaten body was found lying in front of 343 Seventh Ave., near West 29th Street, about 10:30 p.m., NYPD officials said.

She was treated at Bellevue Hospital until she died Thursday, police said.

Police did not confirm the victim's name, or cause of death, and said there hadn't been any arrests as of Monday morning.
