FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police have arrested the suspect in a violent feud between ticket vendors that on Monday left one vendor shot in the chest and a bystander shot in the leg near Battery Park.

Jason Wright, 37, was arrested Thursday and charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, according to authorities.

Wright became embroiled in an argument with a rival ticket vendor Monday that turned violent around 3:15 p.m. when he fired a gun, grazing his competitor in the chest and striking a female bystander in the knee, police said.

Wright was considered one of two persons of interest immediately after the shooting — police are no longer looking for the second person, according to authorities.

Police did not say what vending companies employed the suspect and his victim.
