QUEENS — A Fresh Meadows father pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter for strangling his 8-year-old son, the Queens District Attorney said.

Boujeke Kenmoe, 44, strangled his son, Jerry Kenmoe, in 2014, claiming he become overwhelmed by caring for the boy after his mother left, according to the DA and sources. After killing his son, Boujeke drank liquid-plumber, took Oxycodone pills and slit his wrists.

“The defendant has now admitted his guilt in this horrifying case. A father is supposed to protect and teach his son, but in this demented reality the defendant wrapped his hands around the youngster’s neck and choked the life from his defenseless child,” Queens DA Richard Brown said in a statement.

“The defendant will have plenty of time to think about this incomprehensible act when he is sentenced to a lengthy term of incarceration.”

Boujeke called 911 after trying to kill himself and told the operator that his wife had just left him and that she was “crazy” and “wouldn't help and I couldn't do it alone."

Responding officers found Boujeke with his wrist slit sitting on the floor at the entrance of their bedroom and Jerry laying face up on a bed unresponsive.

Boujeke is facing up to 23 years in prison when he is scheduled to be sentenced in Queens Supreme Court on May 23.
