ST. GEORGE — Staten Islanders will be able to chow down on tacos while sipping on IPAs brewed all across the city at a new festival headed to the borough this summer.

The Staten Island Yankees, along with Flagship Brewing Company and Ho'Brah, will host the first "Unforgettable IPA & Taco" festival at the minor-league team's stadium in June where people can sample locally brewed India Pale Ales while eating tacos from restaurants and food trucks from each borough.

"Inspired by the North Shore's pioneer spirit, the Staten Island Yankees, Flagship Brewery and Ho'Brah Tacos — all visionaries who recognized St. George as the city's newest and most exciting frontier neighborhood — have birthed this festival to shine a light on our beloved fifth and Forgotten Borough," the team said in an announcement of the festival.

So far 15 breweries aside from Flagship will bring their IPAs to the festival including Sixpoint Brewery, Kings County Brewers Collective, Big Alice Brewing and the LIC Beer Project.

Aside from the beer and food, the festival will have live DJs, hot sauce giveaways, tours of the stadium, demonstrations on how to brew beer at home and more.

The event is set for Saturday, June 10, from 1 to 5 p.m at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door and $25 for designated drivers. Portions of sales will be going to the New York City Brewers Guild and No Kid Hungry.
