QUEENS — The New York Pops orchestra is returning to Forest Hills Stadium with a concert featuring the works of "Star Wars" composer John Williams, organizers said.

The concert, scheduled for June 8, will feature some of the best-known scores written by Williams, who composed music for nearly all of Steven Spielberg's films, from "Jaws" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" to "Indiana Jones," "Schindler’s List," "Lincoln" and "Jurassic Park."

The prolific composer has also written music for the "Star Wars" saga and some of the "Harry Potter" films.

“Get ready for an evening of music that will transport you from a galaxy far, far away to a park full of dinosaurs, from Civil War-era Washington to shark-infested waters off the coast of New England,” Steven Reineke, music director of The New York Pops, said in a statement. "It’s going to be a blast!”

The Pops, which specializes in popular classics, will also continue their Kids in the Stadium program this year, which provides free tickets to underprivileged children and their families, the organizers said.

This time, more than 1,500 kids from local schools and community organizations will be able to watch the show for free, they said.

The orchestra has offered the program ever since it chose the open-air stadium to become its official summer home in 2015

This year's lineup at the 12,000-seat venue alsos include Hall & Oates and Tears For Fears, The Chainsmokers, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and John Mellencamp.

The June 8 concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.). Tickets range from $22.50 to $102.50 and go on sale Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m. They can be purchased here
