BROOKLYN — A man stole a credit card from a purse hanging off a stroller in the Jay Street - MetroTech station and used it to buy $300 in MetroCards, NYPD officials said.

The man, who can be seen in a police photo released Sunday, plucked a wallet from a 35-year-old woman's purse dangling from a stroller about 5:30 p.m. March 13, police said.

Later that day, the suspect went to the Fulton Street station in the Financial District and used a card from the wallet to buy $300 in MetroCards, police said.

The suspect is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and was last seen in a Raiders beanie with a dark coat, gray pants and a dark sweater, police said.
