CHELSEA — A New York City College of Technology student, whose husband found her unconscious inside her apartment, was pronounced dead at the scene, police and a school official said.

Aryuna Dashidorzhina's husband called 911 after finding her half inside, half outside of a bathtub at an apartment inside The Carteret building at 208 W. 23rd St., near Seventh Avenue, around 7:38 a.m. on Thursday, the NYPD and sources said.

When officers arrived, they found Dashidorzhina, 30, unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

EMS responded to the building and pronounced her dead at the scene, the NYPD said.

Dashidorzhina was a second-year student in City Tech's computer engineering technology program, the college's special assistant to the president, Stephen Soiffer, told DNAinfo New York.

The college was "deeply saddened" to learn of her death, he added.

"Our community is diminished by this loss, and our sympathies go out to her family and friends," he said.

Dashidorzhina, a green card holder who was born in Russia, was a full-time student who had completed 48 credits at the school, Soiffer said.

School records listed the building on West 23rd Street as her residence, he added.

The Medical Examiner will determine her cause of death. Her husband is being interviewed by detectives, but isn’t a suspect, police said.
