FLATBUSH — Police on Monday arrested a second suspect in the vicious beating of a man who offered to pay for his attackers’ meal in a Flatbush fast food restaurant earlier this month.

The 37-year-old victim was critically injured in the March 1 attack inside Texas Chicken and Burgers, police said. During the assault, four people were caught on video kicking and punching the man inside the eatery after he offered to help pay for one of their meals, police said.

On Monday, police arrested 21-year-old Keshan John of East Flatbush. He will face charges including gang assault in the first degree, assault, harassment and menacing, police said.

He had not yet been arraigned on the charges as of Tuesday, court records show.

Three other people wanted for questioning in the case — two of which joined in on the assault and a third who appeared to pat down the victim as he lay on the ground after the beating — have not been apprehended yet, police said.
